Our mission is to provide financial assistance to deserving Monterey County graduating high school seniors and previous YBR scholarship recipients, Christlike character and active participation in Christian Church Program is a requirement. Through our scholarships, we aim to empower students and transform communities by fostering educational opportunities and brightening futures.

Scholarship Submission Guidelines
Yellow Brick Road welcomes scholarship applications from Monterey County graduating high school seniors and previous YBR scholarship recipients needing financial assistance for their education at an accredited institution.

What you need to know when submitting your application:
- APPLICATION: The application process begins on January 1st, 2025 and is closed on March 31, 2025 at 11:59 PM. We encourage students to allow themselves sufficient time to complete the application, contact people for letters of recommendation, gather needed documentation and submit as soon as possible. Partially completed applications are not accepted. Do not wait until the last week. The deadline will not be extended.
- HOW TO APPLY: Begin your application by scrolling to the bottom of the page and clicking “begin application”. Please note that handwritten applications and essays are not accepted. Make sure to complete all the required starred fields and submit your completed application at least one week before the deadline.
- CONSIDERATIONS FOR APPLICATION: Keep the following points in mind when preparing your application and note all documentation must come directly from the source (person or institution) to scholarshipybr@gmail.com:
- High School seniors and returning recipients are required to submit a letter of recommendation as evidence of Christian character and active participation in a Christian church program or parachurch organization (e.g. Navigator, Cru, or Fellowship of Christian Athletes). This can come from a pastor, youth pastor, Christian group leader and in the case of college student, must be from someone in the location where you are currently attending college.
- Scholarship recipients should be able to attend the award ceremony at Carmel Presbyterian Church on Sunday, May 18th, at 9:15 am and 11:15 am. Returning college students are welcome to attend if home from school.
- Need based applicants must attach a FASA to your application.
- High school applicants must submit a letter of reference from a teacher, coach or counselor.
